Hellow again my blogger’s friends, it is an honor to write about a famous dog, in the history of space science, Laika.

Laika was a soviet space dog, and she was the first living being who could travel in space. The project that lunch laika into space was called Sputnik two, ths project is framed on the historical period of cold war, but more specifically the space run, a competition between two countries, the Sovietic Union (URSS) and United States of America (USA). 

The lunch was carried out in 1957, on the fortieth anniversary of the Bolshevik revolution, specially requested on this day by the sovietic leader Nikita Jrushchov. The idea on this preyect was to orbit the earth, but sadly Laika didnt make it :( , the tecnology for space travel was not sufficiently developed, and little was known about the effects that space flights could have on living beings, the scientifcs thouth that humans couldn´t survive on this conditions, so they used animal to see what could hapend.

Laika was originaly a street doog, she died a few hours after the lunch, probably caused for a failure on the thermal sistem of the space ship, she died by soffocation.

In 2008, a monument was built in the center of Moscu to remember her, and thats all that they do.
