CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

In my career (Psychology) is divided in three stages, the first one is called initial cycle and it has a length of 2 and a half years, then it came the specialization cycle that has a length of 1 and a half year, and finally is the finalization cycle in which the students have to make the professional practice, the thesis and a diploma course, the length of this final period depends of each student.

Ok, so I´m going to start questing the first period, first I think its too long, it should be shorter, two years tops and no more than that. In general, we the students know more or less what we like to study,  and we have expectations for study things that we like, so why not incorporate a few subjects chosen by students themselves, maybe one in the semester or one in a year, on this way the students will probably be more motivate in the career.

The second period it has the most of the problems, because it is assumed that the student has the complete choice of the subjects, so everyone can study what ever they like right?, well your wrong, its not what it happens in the reality. This cycle its done and  designed for specialization, but we are so many students in the career, so we have to compete each other for subjects capacity, that´s horrible because not all really can study what they like, so the cycle doesn't accomplish his purpose. The department of the faculty has to add more teachers and invest in infrastructure, build more classrooms and to create more courses.

The final cycle I do not know it yet, so I´m not going to talk about it. I wouldn't make any more changes to my career.
